CXC-1    CONFIGURABLE CROSS CONVERTER

The CXC-1 is a parameterized integration of the VPC-1 Deinterlacer and VSC-1 Scaler IP cores along with all circuitry necessary to interface to a DRAM controller. The CXC-1 greatly simplifies using the VPC-1 and VSC-1 in a wide range of applications. All build-time parameters supported by the VPC-1 and VSC-1 are available at the top level of the CXC-1. Additional build-time parameters are provided to include or exclude certain processing blocks. This allows, for example, the CXC-1 to be configured as a full up/down/cross converter or as a deinterlacer only or a scaler only.

CMV-1    CONFIGURABLE MULTI VIEWER

The CMV-1 is a parameterized integration of the VSC-1 Scaler, VPC-1 Deinterlacer and other IP as required for multi-viewer applications. The CMV-1 greatly simplifies the development of multi-viewer applications while allowing flexible system design through the use of Verilog build-time parameters. For instance, the system may be configured to allow for up to 32 video sources and one or more display outputs.

CMS-1    CONFIGURABLE MULTI SCALER

The CMS-1 is a parameterized integration of the VSC-1 scaler core with other IP as needed for ABR and similar applications requiring simultaneous multiple output formats from a single input. The CMS-1 is fully customizable through the use of Verilog parameters so that it may be tailored for use in various applications. The number of simultaneously available outputs, scaler taps, phases, data path and coefficient precision are all configurable. A highly efficient implementation exploits the use of cascading as well as resource sharing in order to minimize implementation cost.

VPC-1  VIDEO PROCESSOR AND DEINTERLACER WITH LINE-DOUBLED OUTPUT

The VPC-1 is a high quality motion adaptive deinterlacer and video processor with line-doubled output. Additional functions include motion adaptive noise reduction, low angle directional interpolation and film cadence detection (supports multiple cadences including 3:2, 2:2 and others). When combined with Crucial IP’s VSC-1 scaler core, the VPC-1 can be used to provide complete up/down/cross conversion. Verilog source code, Verilog test bench and bit-accurate C models are available as part of the license.

VPC-2 VIDEO PROCESSOR AND DEINTERLACER WITH INTEGRATED DIRECTIONAL SCALER

The VPC-2 is a high quality motion adaptive deinterlacer and video processor with integrated directional scaler. Directional scaling allows the benefits of directional interpolation to be applied to the full screen resolution, resulting in optimal smoothness of diagonal edges. Additional functions include motion adaptive noise reduction, low angle directional interpolation and film cadence detection (both 3:2 and 2:2).

VPC-3  MOSQUITO/BLOCK NOISE REDUCER

The VPC-3 Mosquito/Block Noise Reducer effectively reduces mosquito and block noise associated with low bit-rate sources while resulting in minimal loss of spatial resolution. The VPC-3 may be used in conjunction with other Crucial IP cores or with any other customer or third party IP. When combined with the gaussian noise reduction function of the VPC-1, a complete noise reduction suite is provided.

VPC-4  VIDEO ROTATION FUNCTION

The VPC-4 is a video rotator for converting landscape rasters to portrait format and for converting portrait rasters to landscape format. In addition to rotation by 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees, optional image mirroring is also supported. The VPC-4 can be used standalone or in conjunction with the VPC-1 Deinterlacer and VSC-1 Scaler IP cores to provide a complete portrait display solution. When used in conjunction with the VPC-1 Deinterlacer, the memory interface can be shared to allow for concurrent deinterlacing, scaling and rotation on a single bus.

VPC-5  ADAPTIVE DETAIL ENHANCER

The VPC-5 is a 2D adaptive detail enhancer which selectively enhances the appearance of edges and textures without enhancing the appearance of noise. Separate controls are provided for both edge and texture enhancement as well as for the amount of enhancement to be applied in each dimension. The VPC-5 Adaptive Detail Enhancer can be combined with the VPC-3 Mosquito/Block Noise Reducer to provide a complete suite of enhancement and noise reduction tools.

VPC-6  LINEAR FRAME RATE CONVERTER

The VPC-6 is a linear frame rate converter used to convert between frame rates while maintaining the appearance of smooth motion. Using weighted contributions from adjacent video frames, the VPC-6 avoids motion judder associated with drop/repeat without the cost or complexity of motion compensation. When used in conjunction with the CXC-1 Configurable Cross Converter, the latter provides a complete system level wrapper including DRAM interface and seamless integration with other Crucial IP cores.

VSC-1  VIDEO SCALER WITH SHRINK AND ZOOM SUPPORT

The VSC-1 is a high quality polyphase scaler which has been optimized for video and graphics applications. The scaler may be used in conjunction with the VPC-1 Video Processor and Deinterlacer IP core or with any other customer or third party IP. Support for both shrink and zoom modes allows full screen display of any video or graphics source as well as arbitrary resizing for PIP applications. Complete source code including Verilog and bit-accurate C models are available as part of the license. An FPGA based demo platform is available for evaluation purposes.

VSC-2 VIDEO SCALER WITH ELECTRONIC KEYSTONE CORRECTION

The VSC-2 is a high quality polyphase scaler including electronic keystone correction which has been optimized for video and graphics applications. VSC-4KX VIDEO SCALER WITH 4K UP/DOWN/CROSS CONVERSION

The VSC-4KX is a high quality polyphase scaler for up/down/cross conversion between video formats up to 4K resolution. The VSC-4KX up converts SD/HD video signals to 4K resolution and down converts 4K inputs to SD or HD. In addition, the VSC-4KX can cross convert a 4K input to a 4K output with up/down scaling. Compatibility with most interface types including SDI (2SI and Square Division), DisplayPort and HDMI is provided.
